Young revert living the cutie life while trying to keep her heart as soft as possible, iA.

☃️ Baby, it's cold outside ☃️

The past week has been colder than any recently and while it's definitely a comfort change to the normally insufferable heat that we normally have, and I love the cold so I'm not complaining! I think like most, I'd rather be too cold than too hot, and the really good thing is that I don't get cold quickly and can normally go out in light shirt and jeans and be fine. Before I was muslim, I used to go out in shorts and short-sleeves, but now, I'm only able to dress like this when I'm sitting in my backyard. Rather bizarrely, a side effect of being with my Darling that I never thought of is that since he can buy me much nicer and warmer winter coats and scarves and gloves, I now get colder much sooner than I ever used to. This past winter has been spent with me trying to get better acclimated to the cold, wish me luck, in sha Allah!

He's here to fill your shoes with goodies!
One of the languages that I'm very fluent in is german and one of the traditions that my teacher always used to practise and celebrate with us was der Nikolaustag, which is celebrated either December 5th or 6th, depending on where you are. I think I'll always remember decorating and colouring paper shoes  and lining them up along the walls all over the entire classroom, and then coming in to school the next day to find them filled with puffy peppermints :3 So when my brother had kids, I decided to keep the tradition alive and told them about der Nikolaus, and how if they left one of their shoes out that he would come during the night and leave little sweets or toys in them. As you can probably guess, it was a huge hit and now every year, der Nikolaus comes and leaves them gifts, although since I'm a bit of a scatterbrain, the date he comes isn't always the same year after year lmfao Thankfully tho, the kids haven't seemed to really notice.

I think everyone knows how much I love the anime/manga My Love Story and one of the key parts of the anime is that Yamato-chan loves to bake and one of the things she loves baking is macarons! So I've always been on the lookout for some, but to no luck :( So imagine how excited I was when I was in Kroegers and saw some boxes of macarons!!! Obviously, I got a box and excitedly took it home and opened it as quickly as I possibly could and tried some.

I'm not entirely sure if I like them or not, since they're not really sweet, but they're also not bland either, although I will admit that I ate three of them in my attempt to decide if I liked them or not haha. Another thing that I'm not too sure about is the texture of them, since they're not exactly spongey, but they're also not soft or hard, but instead somewhere more in the middle. The cream in the middle is nice, but it's a little thick and also doesn't have an overly sweet or strong taste either. I guess I'll have to get another box and decide how I really feel about them; I think everyone can guess that I want very badly to like them. Perhaps it's more of an acquired taste or maybe my american taste buds are just used to everything being overly sweet. Only time will tell.

Macarons!!!
One of the surprising obsession and interest of my Darling, and by association, myself as well is New Zealand. I'm not really sure how or why he got interested in the country, but he loves to look at pictures and videos of the country and wildlife. If I'm being honest, I've always thought it was a really beautiful country, even before I was with him, so I was more than excited to get behind his interest. After all, there are so many other things he could be interested in, so I'm more than happy to look at pictures of sheep and mountains and imagine what it must be like :3.

While my Darling's unusually surprising interest is New Zealand, one of my interests and hobbies is cleaning, especially laundry, and when I was in my old position, I used to spend hours a day looking at the laundry and soap aisles at work. Even though my position has changed, I still find myself going down those two aisles looking at every little thing and smelling all of the new scents and even some of the old ones. So imagine my absolute surprise and excitement when I was looking at the dish soaps and saw a new, emerald green bottle of Dawn soap that had the most amazing and absolutely wonderful scent: New Zealand Spring Scent! I just knew that I had to get it!! Not only did it smell lovely, but I just knew that my Darling would be over the moon with excitement when I showed it to him! The scent itself is a nice, refreshing smell that isn't a floral-scent, but it's very pleasant and I would recommend everyone to give it a try if you see it in the store.

A lovely scent! 10/10 recommend!
I hope everyone else had a nice and enjoyable week like I did, in sha Allah! I'll see you next week, in sha Allah! Jummah mubarak 💟💟💟
