Needlebean Designs: Cute, amazing and custom bags

I have reactive hypoglycemia, which is a fancy way of saying my body doesn't process glucose correctly causing my blood sugar to constantly fall dangerously low on a daily basis. As a child it was never apparent until I started having body tremors in junior high and I was later diagnosed in my early twenties. It can be difficult at times, but it's normally ok, however one of the side effects is having to carry around a glucometer to check my blood sugar. If you've ever seen a glucometer, you probably know they all come in black bags and this proved to be a problem. I'd put my bag down and have trouble finding it since it blended in and I found myself stressed about possibly misplacing or confusing my glucometer bag with someone else's. I started looking online for bags but didn't really see anything I liked until I came across Needlebean Designs.

It's a small business that sells custom-made glucometer bags as well as essential oil bags. The bag I bought was $31 and was made especially for my glucometer, lancing device and container with my test strips as well as a pocket for anything else I have 🙂. So while I can understand that it's more expensive that some might be willing to buy, I think it's more than worth the price! And it's totally customisable! You pick the fabric as well as how the pocket will look and function and you can even message Sharon, the wonderful woman that runs the shop, to discuss a custom dimension bag, which is what I did! However after getting the measurements, she told me that a medium-sized bag would be perfect and assured me that she would make sure my bag wasn't cramped and that all my things would have plenty of room!

It took about a week and a half for my bag to come, but again, it's all custom made and made to order, so I didn't have any problem with this. 

When I did get my bag, I was really disappointed since there'd been some kind of mix up and I was sent a dino-patterned fabric :( I messaged Needlebean and she was so nice about the whole thing! She made me another bag and sent it in a really timely manner and apologised for the mix up and I was more than happy to finally have my cute glucometer bag. 

So what does my Needlebean glucometer bag look like?

It's adorable, right?! I LOVE hedgehogs so when I saw this fabric, my heart skipped a beat and I knew I had to have it! Not only that but it was bright and colourful so I knew I wouldn't misplace it and there was no way anyone would mistake it for their glucomerer bag 🦔💕 

Not only is it cute, but as promised, my bag is very roomy and all of my things have plenty of room, which is so welcome ♡ Since it was made to my glucometer and lancing device's exact specifications everything fits like a glove and this makes things so much easier since my original bag was just so cramped that it was aggravating trying to get things out.  The fabric itself is very soft to the touch and very vibrant, the pictures don't do it justice at all!

Since having my bag, I've gotten so many compliments! And people have asked me where I got it from and told me how much they loved it, which just adds to how wonderful of a glucometer bag it is 😊!
