Fun Little Date 👩‍❤️‍👨👩‍❤️‍👨👩‍❤️‍👨

I'm pretty excited and blessed to have a week-long vacation, although I was a little sad that my Darling wasn't able to take the week off too :( but since he was already off for two of those days, he decided to take me out one of the days~ He's normally so busy with two full-time jobs that we don't always get to spend a lot of time together, so the fact that he managed to get one day off from both jobs just to spend it with me was so sweet x3!!!


 
First, we went out to Olive Garden, a first for him as he'd never been or even heard of pasta! Tru biz! He's fifty-four and didn't even know what the sign for "pasta" meant! In the past, whenever I'd suggest that we go there, he'd always decline since he didn't know what kind of food they served, but for some reason, this time, he quickly accepted, although he was more than a little nervous when we were sat at our table. He kept looking at the menu, flipping it over and over, but since there was so much text, before finally looking at me and asking me what he could get. They had a really nice deal during lunchtime where you could pick and make your own pasta for half the normal price, which was pretty cool! So I helped him pick out what kind of pasta and sauce he'd like and of course, he was so excited that he could have shrimp :3 

He was pretty excited when he saw that you could have unlimited soup or salad, he got salad and I got soup. It was just a little awkward when we finally got our pasta tho, because for some reason he insisted on eating with a spoon ^^; I showed him how to eat it correctly (with a fork and spoon), but it just insisted it made more sense to use a spoon. The only downside to this was it kept falling all over the place, but I thought it was a little endearing~❤︎

Afterwards, we went to Barnes and Nobles :D It's one of my favourite stores ever and I was so excited to get to show him the store and how amazing it is inside!! I don't know if I've mentioned it before, but my Darling can barely read or write, so he's never been to a bookstore before and he didn't even know what Barnes and Nobles was :O I couldn't even believe it! Once we got inside, we walked around the whole store while I showed him all of my favourite books and which sections I liked to linger around. 

I showed him the Studio Ghibli section and introduced him to Totoro-chan and Jiji and all the other characters, although he didn't really seem to know what to think of them lol.

He'd never heard of Studio Ghibli or even seen any of the characters or movies before, so he was more than a little confused, but listened when I explained who each character was. Of course, I had to to tell him all about Totoro-chan and even taught him the sign for "totoro"!!! There was this one ginormous Totoro plushie and since Totoro is my all-time favourite Ghibli character and My Darling is my favourite person, I asked him if I could take a picture of the two of them together x3 He didn't really understand why, but agreed :3 so yay!

After going through the whole store, we decided to leave (I was more than happy to stay and keep reading more books, but since my Darling can barely read, it was pretty boring for him). I asked him if he'd like to go see a movie and since there was a theater pretty close-by, he readily agreed, but we had a little difficulty deciding which movie to see. At first, we decided to go see Annabelle, although I really wanted to see Aladdin, but since he didn't grow up in the U.S., he'd never heard of the story so he wasn't so keen on it. Since I rarely go to the movies, I normally pick what we see, but I know he really wanted to see Annabelle, so I said I wanted to see it too. Unfortunately, it took longer to get to the theater than we'd guessed and by the time we got there, Annabelle had already started, so we ended up going to see Aladdin instead. 

I was pretty excited since he normally goes to AMC since it's closer to where his place, but since I live closer to the local Cinemark I go there instead and I knew about these awesome new seats they have. They're called Luxury Loungers and they're the best!! They're basically like giant Laz-e-Boys that have a special button on the side to put up your feet and rest your back/neck!!! My Darling is six feet tall so he's normally really cramped in normal movie seats, so I was so excited for him to try the Luxury Loungers :D 

Once we got to our seats, I gave him a rundown of Aladdin and everything that happened in it, just so he could have some sort of idea of what it was about, but also because the captioning devices are garbage and just spit out Closed Craptions (if they even work) so my Darling prefers to not even bother with one. 

O. M. G!!!!!

Once the trailers started, we got settled and were talking amongst ourselves about the different movies and shows that they were advertising, but then, all of a sudden, I saw an all too familiar sight: Downton Abbey! I started freaking out and grabbed my Darling's arm and told him how Downton was one of my favourite tv shows! Once the theme started playing, I was completely in awe and my Darling told me that if I really wanted to see it, he'd take me to see the movie 💖💖💖 Since the caption devices are really shit and the movie will probably be very boring to a guy, I'm not sure if I'll ask him to take me, but I'll definitely go see it, in sha Allah! I thought it was so sweet that he looked at me full of love and care when he saw how excited I was :3 Maybe I'll lend him my copy of the series to see if he likes it or not~
 
Normally ,when we see a movie together, he doesn't really eat much popcorn, but this time!! He was eating it even quicker than I did, which was surprising since he normally only eats it the first ten or twenty minutes of the movie. He kept jumping up in his seat and sitting closer to the screen, and asking me what was going on and laughing whenever I told him the funny one-liners characters would say.

The part I really loved was when they rode the magic carpet and sang, "A Whole New World" 🥰🥰🥰 We always hold hands when we watch a movie, and when that part came on, my Darling squeezed my hand and rubbed it 🥰🥰🥰 I just felt so fully in love and I really wish I could've interpreted the song for him, but it's so difficult signing in the dark :( Plus, I didn't want him to miss any of the sweet and romantic parts of the sequence, it just really sucks that it's so hard to find movies that have open captions! 

After the movie was over, we held hands and kissed, and he drove us around a little more before dropping me off~💖 It was such a wonderful and sweet date and I felt even more in love with him afterwards :3
