Late Eid Update/Been Sick 😷✌🏼

You might remember, but about a month ago, I made a blog post about fainting at work after getting sick from the Texas heat. Since then, I've been off and on with how I've been feeling and I was even on bed rest for a short while. Afterwards, I was advised to take a mini-hiatus from blogging to rest and get my strength back. Although I love blogging, I decided to follow my doctor and my Darling's advice and just tried to rest and relax. If you follow me on instagram, you'll have noticed I've been slightly active off and on, since it's much easier to post there. Here's to hoping my health will improve and I don't have to take another hiatus in the near future, in sha Allah. I'd like to thank everyone for being understanding and continuing to support me πŸ™‡πŸ»‍♀️πŸ™‡πŸ»‍♀️πŸ™‡πŸ»‍♀️

My first Eidi from my Darling~♡

My Eid was pretty nice~♡ I was beginning to feel a little better and stronger and was given an early shift at work, while my Darling was off (unfortunately, he wasn't feeling that good). We talked on the phone and exchanged gifts, which was nice ☺️☺️☺️ He had never given me an Eidi before, something that always upset me and made me feel insecure, but this year, he told me that he would get me whatever I wanted :O!!! I was so excited and asked him for something I'd wanted for over a year: Detective Pikachu for 3DS. I'd been looking at the game at work ever since it'd first come out, but since it was a little expensive for a video game, I felt too shy to ask for it so had never brought it up. When I sheepishly asked him if he would get me the game, I felt super uncomfortable asking for (what seemed to me) an expensive gift. Imagine how excited I felt when he immediately agreed and promised me he would definitely get my dream game!!!! X3

Since it was Eid, I decided to do henna, something that I'd really loved doing in the past, but always struggled with due to my hands shaking. My hands were normally ok at first, but after I was around halfway done with one side, they would start to shake and I would struggle to even hold the cone. For this reason, I had stopped doing henna, since it would take hours just to do my hands and they would never be identical at all, which only frustrated me even more. I was always a little sad whenever I'd see everyone's henna, but felt like there was nothing I could do. This year, however, I decided to ignore all my self-doubts and told myself I'd do it for myself ♡! I was pretty excited and quickly set about picking out a design for myself and I'm happy to say it turned out really well πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ‘πŸ»

About two days before Eid, my Darling called me and admitted to me that he had no idea where to buy the game. I explained to him how one goes about buying games at the store and even explained the different brands and told him how to figure out where to find Detective Pikachu. The whole time, he was listening intently and taking notes and asking me questions. I know he's older than me, but it had never ocurred to me that he'd never bought a video game before. I found it really enduring that I'm so much younger than him, but was able to teach him something. After taking notes and listening, he told me he would try to buy the game the next day 🀞🏻🀞🏻🀞🏻! The next day, however, he came up empty-handed and was discouraged, but told me he would try again the next day and if it didn't work, he'd ask me for help. But! I'm happy to say the next day, he texted me a victory picture with the game πŸ™ŒπŸ»πŸ™ŒπŸ»πŸ™ŒπŸ»πŸ’•πŸ’•πŸ’•!!! I was so happy to get the game, but more proud that he was able to get it!

VICTORY!!!!!
All in all, my Eid was nice and I'm feeling a lot better and can't wait to start blogging regularly again, in sha Allah! Please continue to read and support my blog, in sha Allah πŸ’πŸ’πŸ’!
