December Favourites~

For a few years, I wasn't really a big fan of yoghurt, no matter how many times I bought some, it was just really hard for me to finish even when I got those little Yoplait cups. When I started my recovery from my EDs, I looked around grocery section at work for something super yummy, but also easy to stomach, and I just happened on this brand. It's called Noosa, which is fun to say, and O.M.G.! It is SO yummy!!! At the beginning of my recovery, I had a really hard time finishing one of those cups, but I can easily finish one in one sitting. I call them "cups", but they're actually a lot closer to bowls of yoghurt lol. I like that, while they don't have as many flavours as other brands, the flavours they have are super good and more than make up for how "limited" the choices are. One of my favourite flavours and the one I normally get is strawberry rhubarb, but they also have honey, pumpkin and even masala chai LOL which is honestly, the weirdest flavour of yoghurt I've ever heard of.

The past week has been both exciting, since I love blogging, but also a little hard since I'm getting back into the swing of things, so I haven't really been able to make any graphics for my posts. I'm sure things will get a lot easier next week, in sha Allah and my blogging will go back to normal, in sha Allah. 2018 was a long and exhausting year, no hands down, but for me at least, December was the longest and most exhausting month ever! Don't get me wrong: I love the winter, and all things related to Christmas and New Year's Eve, but that month just seems to be going ten times faster than any other month, while also somehow lasting so long. I love when it comes, but I'm also more than happy when it's gone and the new year is here~

I figured since the past two weeks have been so sad, I'd just do a monthly favourites :3 Please tell me if you like this and would like it to be a monthly feature~!

Honestly: I have no idea what this is called, but it was love at first bite and I am hooked!!!  It looks like a kind of salad from the picture, but there's actually a layer of rice and spices underneath~ I actually hate lettuce, so I normally don't eat it, but I mix the meat and tomatoes in the rice and chow down x3 One day, my Darling got me this instead of karachi biryani and ngl: I was a little skeptical at first, but once I took a bite, there was no going back! The first time, he got it, he got it just with chicken, but sometimes he also gets it with lamb too :3 Lamb is one of my favourite meats, but it's so expensive, that I really only get to eat it when he buys it for me.The sauce on the top is a kind of yoghurt-based sauce that just kind of melts into the whole dish once you mix it into the rice and it really makes the dish! I hope the next time I actually physically go to the restaurant, that I can ask what this stuff is :3

And now: Calendars!!!! I get super psyched every year at the start of the new year, because a new year means time to pick out a new calendar and I am living for it!!!! Last year, I actually went with a Beauty and The Beast calendar, since 2018 was the year of the movie for me lol! But this year, I wasn't sure which one I was going to get, I saw a customer had a butterfly calendar and I did see a nice-looking garden calendar, but when I saw the whole year worth of pictures, I just wasn't really hooked enough to actually buy them :c I almost got one that had absolutely beautiful and stunning pictures of mockingbirds, but then this one caught my eye and it was so funny that I had to get it!!! The calendar, called Funny Farm, features a bunch of super funny/cute pictures of animals and it's definitely a little ray of sunshine in my everyday life, so I knew it was the right for me :3

As you can see, some of the pictures have to do with holidays that take place during each respective month (my favourite is the ghost cow for October). What do you guys think? Does anyone else get super excited for the new calendar, or is it just me being weird?

I'm not sure if I've mentioned this before in past posts, but I am in love with matte liquid lipsticks ever since I discovered them three years ago at work, and I normally wear them everyday of the week. The only unfortunate effect from this, is that it really dries out my lips and they are now really dry and chapped :( I'm not going to exaggerate and say that they're like two pieces of sandpaper, but they're definitely unpleasant. I really wasn't sure what to do or how to fix it, but there's this one customer who always comes in at least once a week to return a bunch of Burt's Bees lipbalm, so I decided to try that and see how it went. At first, it definitely seemed to work, but it didn't seem to work as much as I thought it would :( Looking back, I think my lips were just really damaged so it took a little longer to noticeably improve, but at the time, I decided I needed something a little stronger, so I went through the make up and skincare aisles at work. I didn't see it at first, but then I saw it: Milani Lip Scrub!

It comes in a little pot and it's like very sweet brown sugar and it's actually a little too sweet for my like. When you put it on, it feels really weird! It's soft, but also a little rough and the smell and taste is a little too much for me, but I think if it was a different flavour, I'd be fine :) And more importantly: it works wonders!! After one use, my lips were noticeably smoother and softer, and it scraped off some dead skin, so my lips weren't super rough anymore.

I would definitely recommend this! Though: if you don't like brown sugar, it might be a little overwhelming with how strong the smell and taste is, but you don't really eat it lol so it could be fine for you. I'm going to probably get a different flavour since the brown sugar just really isn't working for me, but I'm going to totally use this and recommend this to anyone who might need some lip care.

When I first started at my current job, everyone was really in love with this flavoured, fizzy water, so of course, I got into it too and wow! It was really good at first, but after I will, I ended up drinking the cherry-flavoured one way too many times in a row and just got sick of it. So when I saw this flavour at work, I was a liiiiiiittle skeptical and wasn't sure if it was worth trying, but it looked really good and this was literally the last one we had, so I took the jump and got it. And wow! This is SO GOOD. At first, you just get the strawberry flavour and then, the "aftertaste" is the cream. If I'm being honest, I really don't know how they do that, but it tastes like you're drinking strawberry shortcake, and it is just as good as you could imagine! I am in LOVE with this flavour, but I don't know if I'll try any other brands, since they come in a quart, and I'd hate to get a different flavour and not like it. But it's definitely healthy and yummy, so it's a win win scenario if I end up liking them again :3 I

If you see this in store, I would seriously recommend trying it!!!

Thank you to everyone for joining me in 2018 and here's to a new year, in sha Allah.
